Shopify
I first sat down with the boss and discussed what changes she wants for the website. This included searching up themes and images that resonates with the vision, which was done on Pinterest. We also looked at other Saree online store website to seek inspiration on different sections we might want to include in the redesign. I then listed down the changes in my notes
I then started with designing the banner that will be used on the homepage, Facebook and You tube. This was challenging as I had to generate a graphic that suits the mood board and the main colors which are browns and reds. I also edited the image on Photoshop to make it more suitable for the website banner. I then had to try out multiple different text fonts to find one that will seamlessly blend with the image
I started by finding and editing a template that best matched the features I want such as the navigation bar having a transparent background. I then worked on adding different features on the homepage, such as the banner, the values section, shop by material section, the featured video section and the reviews carousel. I edited the featured video on premiere pro and added it into the website
Afterwards, I designed the all products page. I had to use the in built Shopify AI and prompt it to add features such as the filter and sort function, the Atome pricing and making the product video auto play when the user hovers on the product.
When i was designing this page, I had to standardize and group all the different products in terms of material. I also had to generate pictures for all the different collections so that it looks neater and more organized.
I redesigned the handloom marks page. This page serves as an article on handloom marks to educate customers about handloom sarees and the different knots that may occur. It also helps customers identify what can be a defect and what is a handloom mark
Lastly, I redesigned the logo. I used Adobe Illustrator for this. I had to come up with multiple drafts and send them for approval.
